True Pheph ... Appys can now be online alone as long as they are anon or are helping to runn a quests. If they are trying to become full guides, they have to have a mentor on with them.

My point was that in neither case is a GM required for any Guide to be online.

Back when I was a Guide, appys couldn't be on without having another Guide or higher on. Also, back when I was a Guide, you couldn't issue warnings unless a Senior or GM told you to, or it was truly offensive behaviour. In those cases, you usually ran off to find the chat GM or somesuch.

Then again, I was a Guide a looooooong time ago. I remember the post explaining the "new Play Nice policy" to the Guide Program, and I got my copy of the Kunark expansion free as a Guide before it was officially released. Been a looong time.

lol ... Guide accounts still say they only own the Kunark expansion on the server select screen even though they are flagged for all zones.

About warnings ... before the recent changes, if you witnessed the warnable offense, a Guide can warn w/o Sr or GM involvement. Otherwise it was needed.

Well i have bard friend that uses Macroquest...

He petitioned for quit his final "x" on his name because he changed the server... and this night he puts BoT program for AFK exp on HoH.

A Gm telled him and he answer about half hour later... with an AFK : Dont disturb me because i am Exping...

Finally GM put him a Warning told him to dont make it another time and changed his name for free....

We laughed a lot when he told us that.

And i can told another thing about Warnings, a friend got 3 Warnings for dont use good words with a Rival Guild... and he got banned... he payed a server transfer to other server, changue his name there and then he could come back without any warning to our server...

Seems that SoE policy to Warnings are differentes in each server

Warnings are issued against a unique number attached to each account, known as the PID, not attached to characters.. SO moving server changing name and moving back would still leave the soulmarks on his account..

But generally GM's ignore soulmarks over 3 months old anyways from what I've been told
