AYA 7.0 UI

Post by jumpyfrog » Thu Apr 22, 2004 7:25 am

ok I know the ISHI version of a UI is out. I am not attempting to steal credit or anything from that individual. AYA, happens to be my favorite UI and since I obviously use macroquest I lied how they were previously combined. With the 21st patch, and also a change in the way we reference character variables most of the UI's "broke" for a period of time.
With MANY thanks to the people who posted updates very quickly, I was able to get a good understanding of how things worked. Like most of you I sat around waiting for someone to update the ISHI UI so I could play 8P. Im sorry I dont have the name offhand but someone did post code to a updated buff window, and partially updated target window(code got cut off). The updated buff window had some minor issues with locations values being a bit off so eventually the buffs would start "taking over eachothers space" etc, some minor issues.
Ok, disclaimer out I took the GoD working AYA from the eqinterface site and made some minor changes to have it suit some of my personal tastes a bit more and added what I like to have as far as MQ streamlined.

Here are 2 Screenshots

http://rangothet.rh.rit.edu/files/files/original.jpg

And here is the UI
http://rangothet.rh.rit.edu/files/files/AYAUI.zip

MQ ADDED FEATURES:
-In the target window the current targets level, class and distance will be displayed.
-Your HP Regen, which should also display a +/- for if your going up or down.(Note Im not completely sure that it works as I dont believe things bringing it down(lich, etc) actualy effect the ${Me.HPRegen} value but rather just act as a DoT of some kind. Never looked into how that works with any detail but if your going up +22, you get a +22.
-Displays Current mana, max mana, and mana regen
-Buff timers(of course)

CHANGES:
-I decided not to display STA in a number form, or in a percent form since I dont play melee/hybrid so I apologize for neglecting those who do. However there is still a STA bar in the F1 pet window which also contains your stats and equipment as standard with AYA.
-I edited some of the graphics to take out stupid keywords like HP, or MANA and put colors on the numbers and assumed logical would let you know which is which.
-I also changed some other graphics to eliminate the " | | | | | | | " stipple-like effect from health/air/sta/spell memming bars. Im not a fan of those as I prefer a smooth, brightish color in the bar and not tons of bubbles or stipples.
-I removed the PRIM/SEC/CHST/RANGE items from displaying in every containor you open. I always have bags open and I found that annoying as it increases the bag size to make them al la burden to my screen.

Thats it that I can think of. I didnt meant to step on toes once again is someone usually does this particular UI, I just fixed things for myself initially then figured why not offer to share it with others here.

Also final thing; Im hosting the screenshots and zip file off my own personal computer. The university I goto has a very fast network so download speeds will be fine, but when I leave here in the summer to go work that site will no longer be active. I realize that is a month or more away but if you wanted those files in a more permenant place feel free to do so without my permission and just change the links, assuming its ok with the original UI creator and the people here at MQ.

-Mark :) enjoy

That UI is badass! Now if I could just run two windows at 1280x1024...

In the spell bar what is the TsT graph for. That is my only question outside of that I love this UI

Love what ya did jumpyfrog, great UI.

One problem I noticed though. When you have 10 or more buffs the Buff Window gets really weird. On my 10th buff down, it had the correct name label but the timer was in buff slot 13 (which was empty). On my 11th buff down, it put the name and buff timer in slot 14. The icons were in their correct positions, just the names/timers were jacked.

for some reason when i use this UI. I can't right click on the spell book icon to open the spell preset list or right click on any windows to view the window menu

Check your options and make sure you have context menus enabled

jumpyfrog, you should update your screenshots, especially this one. Seems like you targetted yourself in the 2nd screenshot. Anyone can see your class, level and name atm... Listed is a Beastlord, and the Char also seems to be a beastlord judging from the epics shown in the inventory.. Better remove/edit that since its easy to track your server and no one wants you to get banned hmh? :D

Great UI mods btw!

Very good UI =) I seem to be having a trouble with moving objects in my inventory. If i click on them they move up to the nex possible slot and i can never click on an item and have it stay there it always goes back to the same slot.

havnt checked today

Post by jumpyfrog » Wed May 05, 2004 7:48 am

Havn't checked after todays patch but it is fully compliant with MQ2 data type variables, that was the reason I made it. I can't explain what wrong values you are getting. If you post some examples or something maybe I can offer some insight.

It should still work perfectly after the patch since it only displays some basic stuff and I dont think they are changing the XML in any major ways this time.

Also if you had problems with buffs overlapping, the final zip is up which has the correct coordinates.
