Fundamental question here is about how MQ interacts with the client. I would think that MQ simply calls some function in the EQ client that writes to the chat window. Sometimes this function is called due to a serverside event (A_Bug_01 hits YOU...) other times a client side event kicks it off (/loc...

Only way I would know how is to target your pet (F1 twice) and then do $target() values off of it. Before you do this, remember to save the id of what ever you were fighting. For the following, assume that you're fighting something, that something is your current target, and that you've initialized ...

Don't take this wrong, but there's a lot of information in the file 'readme.html' that is included in the download. Problem is that it's not set up as a how-to, but as a language definition. So you have to know what syntax you're looking up before you can use it. I learned by grabbing a simple MAC a...

You may be looping because you didn't include a /return in your code. Just as an FYI, you could make this a bit more general using /face with a direction. I think that the verbage is 'heading'. Ah hell, let's get complicated: sub Main /sendkey down up | Move forward /varset v1 0 | Angle that you wil...

As I understood it this kind of thing was for PMs only. I've been lazy up to this point, but - if someone would be so kind - could I get that PM?

This is easy to settle, someone just needs to run a macro and post the results. Here, I'll write the macro: sub Main /echo Hey GM! /echo Can you read this? /echo Cause if you can, /echo I'm screwed! /delay 1s /report /return There ya go. Oh, and if you're a lurker looking for a pp mac, that one abov...

only thing worse is accidently hitting a key on the keyboard that frells up a buy/sell routine. spamming 'Welcome to my store...' msgs is pretty bad. of course, when I was writing my first hunting mac I had my target range set a bit too tight. So that when he ran back to have a seat and rest up at t...

Just a guess, but at the top you have:

Code: Select all

/varset HomeX 517.00,
Remove that comma.

bhaal - I started into something like this last night. Goal was to kill bats till 20 wings, go fish till 20 fish, combine, go sell, loop. It resulted in a handy function WalkPath that will move your guy through a series of loc points. /call WalkPath 5 walks the 5th path in my array, /call WalkPath -...

Ahhhhh file I/O, how I miss thee. Only thing I long for more is the ability to call macros within macros. I want my farm toon to be able to call /combine cooking "bat wing" "fish" everytime he kills a bat. =)

I had a similar problem. Remove the quotes. This is a problem with MQ. I have never been able to specify specific targets using alerts - only similar ones. So that if I try: /alert 1 add "a fire beetle" /alert 1 add a fire beetle /alert 1 add beetle The first one will look for a mob called...
