How can I make my own offsets?

What programs can I use/download so that I can make my own offsets whenever MQ gets broken after a patch.

This seems to be privileged information. Though I do understand it requires logic and patience, and a slight understanding of hex editing?

As I understood it this kind of thing was for PMs only. I've been lazy up to this point, but - if someone would be so kind - could I get that PM?
