Assualt Weapon Ban

All forums need a place for all the posts for people in the community to rant about things not relating to what the forum is about. This is that forum.

The A.W.B. had nothing to do with machine guns. Machine guns are just as restricted now as they where when the A.W.B. was in place.

Specifically, a rifle is considered an "assault weapon" if it can accept a detachable magazine, and possesses two or more of the following features:

* Folding or telescopic stock
* Pistol grip protruding conspicuously beneath the stock
* Bayonet mount
* Flash suppressor or threaded barrel
* Grenade launcher

Among this list of "evil features", only one item initially stands out to the layperson as possibly making the firearm significantly more dangerous, and that is the grenade launcher. However, since grenades and the components to make them are already extremely tightly regulated as "destructive devices", grenade launchers are irrelevant. It would be a fair assumption to say that perhaps "grenade launcher" was added to the list simply to provide a certain degree of shock factor.

Thanks

Heh, me and my dad have already pooled in some of our extra cash for an AK47, Folding stock, flash suppressor. We had one with a folding stock before (it was a 5 point pre-ban) but we ended up selling it when I needed some cash.

We've collected weapons for as long as I can remember, always safe with them.. and most of the weapons we collect are historical-types (lots of WW1 mausers, and late 1800s Colts).

I've been waiting to get my second bushmaster for quite a while. I really wanted the real telescoping stock mainly.

I'm currently waiting for this to come in:
