Quick Questions

Post by Kambic » Sat Aug 21, 2004 1:06 pm

Sorry these are kind of newbie questions I imagine, but I'm on vacation and only using my laptop without access to EQ or MQ so can't test these out.

1. Which of these skills need special situations and what are they (can't be attacking, can't be sitting, etc):

Disarm, Disarm Traps, Forage, Sense Traps, Begging, Intimidation, and Taunt

2. You can use /goto :spot to go anywhere right? Or does the :spot have to be "above" the /goto in the code? I can't imagine why this would be required, but I need to jump down in code and just want to double check this before I write a bunch :)

Thanks guys. I'm bored to death and thought I'd so some macro coding. This weekend I've just straight read TFM from cover to cover heh (learned a lot).

Disarm, Disarm Traps, Begging, Intimidation, and Taunt
These all need a target and to be standing. With the exception of Disarm Traps, the target must be an NPC. I'm sure you can sus out what you have to target to Disarm Traps <grin> LOL.

Sense Traps, standing is about it.
Forage, must be standing.

If there are other requirements I'm unfamiliar with them.

Also Forage you can't be attacking, riding a mount or casting.

The bank and merchants also interrupt forage.

I didn't think Disarm Traps required a target since without MQ you can't target it?

I was thinking of those items in LDoNs, chests and such. Not sure about others. Check to be sure.
