Maybe some of you could shed some light on this

This is more curiosity than actual use.

I sometimes play around with the priorities in the task manager on some apps. I noticed that I couldnt change the priority for eqgame.exe.

Anyone care to let me know why that is? and if its possible to unlock it?

Search for "Priority of eqgame.exe" yields 4 results

Get process32.zip from Beyond Logic andunzip it to your windows folder or somwhere in your path.

Then open a command prompt and enter

process -p eqgame.exe BelowNormal

Change the priority of processes . . .

When viewing the list of processes, the 4th column shows the base priority of a process. This is a numeric value from zero (lowest priority) to 31 (highest priority). You may set the base priority of a process by specifying one of the priority classes below.
Low 4
BelowNormal 6
Normal 8
AboveNormal 10
High 13
Realtime 24
