Ok at lvl 50ish I have come to rely on a certain method of hunting and engaging a mob. And I think that this method being highly effective as it is, should be made into a macro.
It works like this...
Find and target mob.
Get within debuffing spell range, and cast debuff.
Send in pet.
Cast DoT.
Cast DD.
Med until just before DoT spell wears off.
While reserving enough mana for a gate...
If pet is < 50% health and mob is > 50% cast heal on pet.
If pet is <25% health and mob is > 45% begin casting of new pet.
Right before new pet spawns dismiss old pet. (also called chain casting)
Send pet in...
If new pet does not gain aggro run away allowing pet to taunt mob, when mob is taunted move to safe distance and med.
If my mana is low, and my hp < 50% and pet cannot gain or pet subsequently loses aggro then gate.
If DoT wears off, recast DoT also
If mob > 20% HP then recast DD
When mob dies loot mob, check items on mob, if item is no-drop or lore and not in inventory then keep. If item is no-drop or lore and subsequently is also in inventory then destroy item.
Otherwise loot all items.
I have searched and I am not seeing a macro like this, at least not that I have found. I think I could cobble together a few macros and come up with something like this, however I was hoping for pointers and starting points, or if the thing already exists, if someone would please be so kind as to point me to it.
Thank you.
