Reverse Engineering eqgame.exe for offsets

Post by SlimFastForYou » Thu Mar 11, 2004 11:06 pm

Are there any good guides out there for this sort of thing in your bookmarks? Or should I just stay tuned for my future assembly language class? Google finds 1,790,000 results for "reverse engineering", but I was just wondering if any of you had some favorites.

If your wondering what my prog experience is, I am in a second semester c++ course. I understand ADTs, pointers vs variables, that sort of thing. It's just sort of neat to me that its possible to figure out which exact memory block (out of multi millions of possible memory addresses) in an alien program to point to.

They probably just copy->paste it onto the FH board.

There are a few links in the original MQ thread that lead to other messages with info. Specifically:

I did indeed copy/paste that thread to F-H boards, only because all the old guides were erased when we changed servers for the F-H website.
