New to Visual C++, need some help

Im new to using Visual C++, and am wondering something, is it possible to create a new file type for adding new files in Visual C++? or is it possible to make it so that you can build from .txt files to make .mac files (just converting it)?

sorry im retarded, nm, just added .mac to the end of name when making text file and it worked fine
