MQ2 on European Servers?

Post by EQ_Nutzer » Fri Dec 26, 2003 5:39 am

Hello all,

I would like to try to get MQ2 running on the german KD server. So far as I know the german server never had a completelly different eqgame.exe than the us servers.
We are usually only 1 or two patches behind. So in my opinion the offsets of a older version of MQ2 should work (ShowEQ e.g. works this way). What is the experts opinion on this?

The current version of the german eqgame.exe has the MD5 checksum:

146389f65ee1b5bc417f419027f902b8 and a creation date of 12/09/03 19:03

Could anybody kindly point me to the correct offsets/the fitting former version of MQ2 (the MQ2latest.zip from 12/10/03 did not work for me) or explain me if above mentioned ideas are wrong (as a I am rather new to MQ2).

Thanks in advance

Okies, I actually got it working myself with one of the older versions and adjusting the *ini timestamp.

Basic macroquest commands work and the MQ2window shows up, only problem I am facing now is that the generic macros like "follow.mac" do not work, whenever I try to start follow.mac by typing in /macro follow.mac MQwindow tells me that "The current macro has ended" and nothing happens.

Any ideas on this, I am of course browsind the forum to find an answer myself but could not so far.

Greetings
