Combine / Done

Post by Sixes » Sat Nov 29, 2003 2:37 pm

I use a UI where the picture on containers has been removed, making the whole thing much smaller.

Whilst /mouseto enviro 0-9 works perfectly, /mouseto enviro Combine and /mouseto enviro Done both miss, ending up below the bottom of the pack.

Is this fixable?

Uh and not sure if this is a bug in MQ2 or in EQ itself:

Code: Select all

/itemtarget forge
/click left item
/itemtarget forge
/click left item
And the forge disappears.

Other characters can still see it and use it but it disappears both visually and from the /itemtarget list.

EDIT: Actually, don't fix this. It makes the environment pack portable (i.e. it doesn't close when you move away from the item).

You have to use default containers.

Make a copy of your UI and replace EQUI_Container.xml with the one fromt he default directory.

For reference, I got to the bottom of this. In modifying the UI, the author had not adjusted the <X> and <Y> tags correctly. So it was a bug in the UI, not in MQ2.

Most of the problems with custom UI's are due to math errors in the XML files. A lot of them are very poorly written, meaning they look good and work if you are manually moving the mouse around but will not parse correctly in MQ's parser due to misaligned coordinates or "ghost" locations. Since we can't take the time to go through every UI we recommend using the default containers.
