Simple genbot quetions

Post by Unknownbot » Tue Nov 18, 2003 10:33 am

Hi, I've been using mq for a few months for basic things, but recently decided to explore the bot part.

I have downloaded genbot, and created the files genbot.mac, botcore.inc, botspell.inc, botcombat.inc, bothealer.inc, personal.inc, gentbot_BOTNAME.inc in my Macro folder from the posts at the top of the genbot post in the macro forum.

But I can't figure out what / where to put the spell names, or what other changes if any I need to make to the files. The bot'd toon is a 65 cleric. Her typical spell line up from top to bottow are DA, DB, Symbol of Kazaad, Virtue, Supernal Elixir, Supernal Remed, Complete Heal, Mark of Retibution.

Can someone tell me (or post a cut/paste of) what changes I need to make to the 7 files ? The commands I most need to get working are watchtarget and autoheal.

Thanks in advance!

You don't need a Genbot_BotName.inc - Once you have the other files created you start genbot on the Character and Genbot Auto Creates genbot_BotName.INI - You then /endmacro. After it's ended you edit the INI to set your spells and other custom settings.

So the only changes I need to make will be to the genbot_BotName.INI file?

Using the /endmacro command is making eqgame.exe crash. It is ok to camp to char select to make the changes and then log back on? Or is there another way to make changes without /endmacro ?

Thanks for the tips!

That's a little different...

Most people CTD if they DON'T /endmacro before camping... Not the other way around...

I guess one way would be to run another macro... that will stop this one (genbot) from running, then make your changes then run this macro again.
