EQ Crash to desktop after patch screen

Post by Mckorr » Sun Nov 09, 2003 10:12 am

Using the latest CVS I get a CTD immediately following the patch screen.

Message is
The instruction at "0x0300fa44" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".
Debug shows this to be in EQLib_Hooks,

Code: Select all

If (Patch) {
 AddOurDetour(EQADDR_ZONING);

 crash here

 DetourFunctionWithEmptyTrampoline......

As a quick test I commented out HookZoning(TRUE) and the corresponding FALSE. CTD at the next line, HookLabels.

Debug shows the crash in both those functions at AddOurDetour, and the error message is the same.

Hmph... no idea. Did a clean CVS download and now it works. I must have missed something during my merge. Obviously I need better documentation on my experimental code.
