I rewrote the readme to help newbies know what to expect.
Just cut and paste this into readme.html

Code: Select all

Heh...

It's being worked on Plazmic.

I never realized some of the commands and variables had so many options until trying to rewrite this.

Someone else offered to help so two of us are working on it, and it's pretty close to being done, at least the txt format version.

I'm the other guy helping Wassup, but he has done the huge amount of work on the manual. I'm just doing some extra checking and documenting as well as adding examples. I was amazed at how much information he went through. I dunno how much time it took, but it looks like a ton. I for one am glad he took it on.

The main file now is plain text, but I've got a reworked html version started. Funny enough I was just putting a word about using "search" into it. I was using it myself to add content to the install part when I saw this thread.

Maybe a line at the top like "If you have trouble with left and right please stop reading now"

Plaz I guess this means you finish your major code cleanup soon so that Wassup doesn't have to rewrite any commands ;)

It's too big to post here, and isn't quite finished yet. A few of the variables/commands need to be finished.

Hopefully the devs can give it a once over before including it in with the CVS also. I'm sure there are a few things that might have been overlooked.

Currently it's about 31k of text without any html formatting.

Wassup ...if you need a good/easy/powerful html editor (ie, Homesite), send me PM.

I'm glad you're taking this on :) ...I'm too enthralled with Lax's IDC stuff to get much of anything else done ..hehe

Thanks Amadeus.

Biggest help would be for anyone and everyone to go over it for any mistakes.

Already corrected one that EQMule pointed out.

There are a few I am unsure of...

$char(hotbutton,x) for example. It crashes the EQ client if I do /echo $char(hotbutton,1). I wasn't sure what the command did, and still don't.
