MacroQuest, the NewUI, and the near future...

Post by Plazmic » Thu Jul 25, 2002 7:58 pm

1. There will be an official MQ-20020726 release Friday night.
In the old UI, any command MQ handles will not be placed into the shift-up buffer.
In the new UI, /click'ing is broken for panels.

2. I am moving and will be offline as of the 27th. I do not know when I will have internet service again (hopefully before mid-August).

So, you're saying that everything with the exception of /click works as it has?

Spectacular work!! :)

Everything except /click'ing on newui panels.
You can still /click targets, items, etc.. anything that is part of the world (and not UI)

Am I to assume that this means /mouseto works?

If /mouseto works, could we just have a /click left command that would send a mousebutton down command at the cursor's current location, thereby giving us a pseudo /click command?

Domosan, who is still trying to get .NET

/click is broken with the panels... doesn't matter where the mouse is...

Ahh -- ok, I was misunderstanding -- I thought it just sent through a mouseclick action to the EQ client.

I can live without the new UI - now living without MQ - thats a different story altogether!!! Yeah the new UI looks nice, and I like the Bazaar functionality, but the best way they could ever improve EQ is to include MQ!!!

Thanks for your efforts as ever Plaz.

Plazmic, Hope your Move is a safe and easy one. You will be missed, so hurry back.

Thank you for MQ for what it is.
We can still use the old UI to use MQ, so we can't scroll through old commands with <shift> UP keys, so what.
We can use the new UI for gaming pleasure / eye candy.. or we can use old UI for things we love MQ for.

Just my 2cp on it.

Thanx

Thanx Plazmic for your great work, I know you are also working on a /consol command. I was REALLY hoping that there was going to be a method a user could control the actions of a macro after the macro is running by using EQ HotKyes.

Having a seperate window would be nice but not needed in my situation. I would be 'happy' to see "self tells" cause "tell events" , OR "self chats" cause "chat events". Right now (as far as I know) "self tells" are blocked by EQ, and "self chats" do not fire the "chat event"

Have a fun, safe move. And feel free to check in via your local libary, or work (if they allow access). Thanks Again. :D :) :P

Self tell, guesing you want it for testing or something.

/echo tells you 'blah blah blah'

MacroQuest now just sent you a tell. :P

Can't remeber who told me this one, was either Plaz or L124RD but thats what I use for my testing of chat events. Use Echo and just make it echo the same exact strings EQ uses.

Post by FlashG » Fri Jul 26, 2002 4:04 pm

Thanks, I will try, I needed somthing kinda like that. I didn't realize that a echo would set off a "tell event"
