macroquest.exe wont work for me?

ok, i compiled everything and i got the macroquest.exe, so im all happy and shit, i double click the exe and it just pops up in my systray but then disapears within about 5 seconds! ???? do i have to have the macroquest files inside my eq folder? (btw, my eq isnt installed in the default location so.. does that effect anything?)

Tell us a little more:
How did you compile?
Are you running out of the Release directory?
Did you build everything?

yeh im running out of the release dir.
and i just followed the steps (got vs6.0 INSTALLED)
got cvs1.2 and downloaded all that crap.
then i ran cmd promt in winXP (since XP doesnt actually have MSDOS)
did cd c:\MQ
nmake
and it compiled everything for me and gave me the exe, i assume thats i had to do. right ?

Did you run nmake in c:\mq\eqlib too?
