going to put important stuff here
this already has a tweaking guide for windows and eq

soon this is going to be sample macros and outlines of macros
this will describe/explain writing macros and things about mq2
with macro examples

this will prolly not be the most perfect instructions but can start you writing

when writing macros its alot easier to write down steps of what you are trying to do
this helps you figure out all these complex steps one at a time rather than trying to spam ur brain w/code

sometimes you may have to outline ur macros or code
sometimes you may have to study the outlines of ur macros or code
you eventually become one with code and memorize how these things work

other peoples examples can help
thoroughly testing all possibilities of pieces of code your trying to do, can help
e.g. testing things you can do with tlo's or datatypes
e.g. using a for loop to get large amounts of testing done
be careful with ur computer and have fun learning

not sure about c++ be careful there if ur comp starts overheating or smelling like burnt computer chips

adding /delay 2 to ur macros make them use alot less cpu and ram
/delay 2 is 2 milliseconds
/delay 2s is 2 seconds
mq2 is limited to like 40 calculations or whatever per second or something
#turbo 40 in ur top of macro

im eventually gonna work on a modded, offline eqserver thing
alot of work has to be done, then not sure about the gnu terms, prolly rewriting it all
preferably on an offline computer that cant be compromised and all that
im hoping things work out

those laptops nowadays have to have the wifi chip removed, wireless card removed,
and Bluetooth chip? removed and all that is a pain and takes expertise...and even then
some computers/laptops may break if you take out the wifi chip or Bluetooth chip
im thinking satellites can write to hard drives? there used to be older satellites that couldn't get through water well
there used to be a specific mathematical calculation per inch of water
but those days are far past common satellites can prolly go to the bottom of the ocean
even those i7 models anything like that prolly has expressgate whether they advertise it or not
its possible cheap chinese knockoffs don't but im not an expert on hardware chips yet
i think hardcoding computers is illegal I wonder if that will change

gonna put instructions for playing alot of characters on a cheap computer
im at dual core 2.4ghz laptop with broken screen and 8gb ram
im able to run 18 characters at one time with no client/server modifications

this post will have instuctions to make ur computer run the fastest
never got to play yet with the full 18, or tried titanium yet

with 12 lvl65s - i was able to pwn (using my macros)-
vulak of tov and enriki icingwinds of the bot towers
i think it was possible to kill shei vinitras if akheva ruins trap was fixed
never got a chance to attempt ssra mobs < emp or emp himself
im definitely thinking i coulda done a couple ssra mobs maybey not emp
with 18 i might try emp of ssra, aerin`dar of pov, and GoD mob w/the staff
there is that other staff from sewers for monks, that ones good too 45/30

disable the superfetch service and undo readyboost drives
disable the superfetch service in windows services

on windows 8 you can get to the services folder through task manager
ctrl alt del
task manager -> services tab -> open services ( at bottom of screen )

at the properties of each service, you can disable the services from starting



usually this has something to do with administrator, computer services,
advanced computer services, or wherever it is hidden in other forms of windows

if you have made your usb drive a readyboost drive
remove any sort of readyboost device and setting

set your page file better and best performance, and best performance background

if you have 20.5gigs of free disk space ->
start -> control panel ->system and security -> system
advanced system settings -> advanced tab -> performance - settings

click adjust for best performance while we are here

advanced tab

click best performance for background services while we are here
this is very important because your bot characters will not operate properly...unless you have best performance for background services

click virtual memory - change

you want to set your page file to 204800 make sure custom size is clicked
and enter 204800 in both entry fields
click set
you want your page file a set size so you do not get blue screen errors

20.5 gigs seemed to work the best for me
102400 wasn't too bad, but 20.5 was the best
a little over 20.5 caused slowdown for me

disable services

--disable various other services especially from programs you download

turn off system restore and possibly the volume shadow copying service

delete your restore points, you should have cds or removable media w/windows

turn off write cache buffer flushing

im on a laptop and there is a laptop battery attached, so always turn this off
this setting, i think double copies everything on ur hard drive
we would want that off with 12->18 characters going at once prolly
we want that hard drive at top shape for page file usage
this is not my fault - make sure u have a windows disk and ur internet drivers
ive never experienced any problems with this erasing anything so

im guessing this is a horrible part of windows and probably completely useless
at worst im thinking, you are on a desktop, there is lightning storms, you lose power, and lose the last 10 seconds of work you did with a file

there is a learn more button that is prolly to scare you or something im not clicking that yet

im going to desktop computer test this next 2 months prolly
you should be straight turning this off
make sure u have ur windows disks or removable media with windows
make sure u have ur Ethernet /wireless drivers whatever so u can get on the internet again and get ur computers drivers after a fresh install

walking to a library and getting past security programs to get drivers
or
paying some computer store dude to
let you get ur drivers onto a removable drive is lame and not fun

sitting there with no computer cause u fried ur os and don't have discs is not fun definately not fun

to remove the write cache buffer flushing ~

click change settings

turn on the ->Turn off Windows write cache buff flushing on this device

then you should be good

i have onboard intel graphics and
-uh you gotta turn application optimal mode off - it is a lie when concerning eq
-other things you want to turn off, or make faster/gear towards performance

you have to micro manage these things, you don't want ur hard disk sleeping
or anything crazy while ur trying to play

----the jumper is a little square thing that connects 2 prongs together, you

--the internet driver is the most important...
--you can get your other drivers after a fresh install if you have internet drivers

--you have to be very careful and gentle with these laptop parts
--please do not open ur laptop ever ---- there is no reason to ever

--make sure you are getting laptop ram or desktop ram, desktop ram is huge

remove trustedinstaller

there is a folder in windows called servicing, it contains
microsofts trustedinstaller

caught this program running in background 2weeks to 2months after a fresh install
this program, was using like 40% disk usage one day as I was playing eq
traced it back one day to the windows/servicing directory

im not sure if this is some type of skynet spyware installer or what but it
was using all those resources and i had every update option turned off-
all windows update turned off,
windows firewall off,
volume shadow copy turned off,
this will explain how to remove trustedinstaller

you must first make yourself the owner of
windows directory and servicing directory
on my computer this involved going thru to permissions stuff
and making \Users USERPC(ismycompname) the OWNER of windows and servicing
then you must make yourself or all of the owners to have full control of
windows directory and servicing directory

then you must delete the servicing directory to the best of your ability
3 files will probably be left over... mysterious xml files

BEFORE you do any of this, ONCE TRUSTEDINSTALLER IS DESTROYED
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET VS2010Express
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET VS2013Express for Desktop
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO DIRECTX INSTALL MAYBEY
the installer will not work and you will not be able to update these things
INSTALL THESE IMPORTANT THINGS BEFORE KILLING TRUSTEDINSTALLER

this is best done offline immediately~
Make SURE you have cds or removable media w/windows
Make SURE u have ur drivers INTERNET/video/audio on a removabledrive

--after a fresh install of windows
--after directx has been downloaded and installed
--after vs has been downloaded and installed - register whenever
--(you may want to keep task manager open to scare the trustedinstaller)
---and before the trustedinstaller has victimized/nested itself with you

turn off sounds

we make sure sounds are turned off in everything game client, client.ini
and we add a file called NO_SOUND.TXT or NOSOUND.TXT
to some directory within the eq folder, its like 1 of 3 things
its prolly the main directory

we make this NO_SOUND.TXT file read only in the NO_SOUND.TXT file properties

make sure logs on bot character folder are read only

we can also make our logs readonly so they are not written to- if ur into that on ur bot characters or something

turn filters on/off ingame

in ur options menu alt o, or thru window selector -> options you can find filters
liek where u turn badwordfilter on/off

you could also disable your focus effect chat spew ingame filters
when u have chat events it reads every line and does things
less lines being read is better but don't get too crazy the game has to be fun too
youll prolly end up running 12 -> 64 characters so alot less lines
you prolly don't want to disable logs or whatever

superfetch and write cache buffer flushing and globalload.txt are the most important
