how do i use this variable
$target(hp,xxx) returns the targets hp: cur, max, pct
does it show me the current hit points?

"/echo $target(hp,pct)" will display your target's percent hp to the chat window.

Mobs do not report real cur/max values (cur = pct, max = 100 in most cases)
PC's do give info though (use to check up on your group mates)
