Patch Day: 2011.11.15

It's been about 10 years since I played EQ and I just have to first say thanks for all of you in the community that have kept MQ2 alive. I was able to dust off the cobwebs and get it compiled and working and have been successfully using it now for a few weeks.

With the patch on 2011.11.15, I notice that it doesn't align with MQ2's expected client version. Is there a simple hack I can make to the code to align the versions or should I wait for the fully updated release and the changes are more structural?

Today's path includes the launch of a new expansion. I would guess MQ needs quite a bit of patching (although I am hoping it isn't as huge as the item changes we had last time).

So going out on a limb here, I tried to remember from old times that there was some sort of override that could be put in place via a setting to try and make MacroQuest try to hook in as much as it could where possible.

In digging around, this appears to be the ClientOverride #define variable, however, even with setting this to 1 and recompiling I get what looks like a memory offset error immediately after clicking [Play] after logging in.

Looks like we'll need the update from the big boys

There are a tremendous number of struct and offset changes. This was not a minor patch, patience will serve you well.
