In game text editor for editing macros?

Post by Mckorr » Sat Jan 18, 2003 2:01 pm

Not sure if it's possible, but is there anyway to modify the Notes window (custom UI?) so that it functions as a text editor, allowing you to edit macros on the fly without using windowed mode (which is extremely buggy) or EQW?

if you can do everything in that window that you can in notepad, then you can make your macro \<EQDir>\notes.txt and run it via /macro Drive:\Path\To\EQDIR\notes.txt

HOWEVER this is a horrible idea for security sake.

Xylobot is a memory hog, eats up too many resources on my old Athlon 750, even with a half gig of RAM. Way too much lag. Anyway, it was just an idea, no longer really necessary with the ability to Alt-Tab between windows.
