Newbie Macro question..

Post by Lizzydude » Sun Jan 12, 2003 2:49 pm

I believe I finally have (mostly) my MQuest setup.. I do get a full list of NPC's in zone from /who NPC so i believe i am on the right track for instillation.

My question is: I would really love to start using some of these skill building macros as I am a not so intelligent Iksar Monk with sore fingers from skill bldg. Copy/paste thats NP for me, but do I just copy paste these to a text editor and save as a ".mac" or can I save as a different ext? My current text editor does not offer a .mac extension as an option. I ame using AceHTML5 as my editor.

Any help you can offer me would be greatly appreciated.

I am also looking for a shareware text editing tool where i can use the .mac utility

The easiest thing you can do is copy and paste it all into notepad, and save it, instead of whatever.txt, as notepad suggests you do, save it as whatever.mac.

I personally use textpad for my macro editing, its a great little program, and with Fippy's syntax definition file, its even better.

Long live notepad!!! Back in the day, when the "Built with <insert crap program here>!" Taggs were appearing on HTML documents all over the globe. A friend of mine either made a spiffy "Made in Notepad" icon, or found it... either way... Long Live notepad!

:EDIT:

Ok... so that has precisely jack to do with MQ... and is a smidge OT all things considered. but I'm still not gonna delete it!!
