Macro requests from before the user variable changes that broke all macros

If this were made, would it be ok to be included in the default install ?

Zone Specific /include file

Post by Iambabycat » Sun Dec 15, 2002 5:35 pm

I am thinking that if someone ( heck maybe even me ) were to make a zoneloc.mac that inlcudes specific /locs for all zones, it would be useful in implentation into other macros.
Two Questions / Concerns though:

1. Will this file end up being WAY too big to be just one file to be part of in a macro ?

2. Should this be something to have in the default install for MacroQuest ? Would it be too easy to take advantage of ?

List of things to be added to zoneloc.mac
Each zone would have locs for:
-Zonelines
-Druid Rings / Wizzie Rings / Spires / Book
-Specific "safe" spots or well known meeting points
*** Questionably easy to exploit ones ***
-Vendors, Banks, Shops, notable NPC's
-hunting spots, including safe spots, pulling spots, spec. mob spawns locs
( In WC, the Orc camp, the sitting spot, and each specific hut )
( In DL, Mid camp, Random spot in distance to run around for mobs )

I am guessing that something like this has been done, theres plenty of other notable Loc's that could be added to each zone, depending on situation, but once again, how big should this file be ?

collecting the information for many zones will be easy, while others may take some "field /locs" to get good up-to-date numbers

Implementing the different types of locs would / could be a trick, since a pulling spot for a moving mob would be more of a "radius" type than one for a "standing" mob spot.

Examples of LOC types:

"radius" mob spot
"standing" mob spot
"zoneline"
"zoneclick" ( for use when it is a clickable book / item )
"General" ( for use when no action is to be taken, just a place to run to )
"NPC" spot ( the vendors, bankers, and other friendly NPC's )

And please, make comments, voice concerns, and if your REALLY bored... feel free to go and do it
