Hey, just been reading through these forums because I find the subject interesting (not really technical enough to implement any of this), but I've noticed that there's actually a 'what not to post' section where people have been made example of and basically been ridiculed for wanting help running programs that allow them to run real fast and warp around, as if they're the most unethical people in EQ/EQ2. Well considering that right in the manual it's stated as first and foremost that the use of mq2 is against Sony's EULA... I'm curious how everyone else's so-called "proper" use of this program is worthy of anything more than the same flames?
Perhaps you guys feel that by carefully manipulating EULA wording you may find some measure of ethical justification for using the program in certain ways but not others, such as writing scripts to do things that Sony never intended for you to automate in the first place, while using it to write something that lets you pop around a zone (something you also shouldn't be able to do) doesn't quite fit into that same justification standard no matter how you try to fit it in there.
Well I either expect that this post will get flamed, dissected and quoted with smart-ass replies, or I will just be told to "go away" (insert whatever expletives suit your fancy at that time), which seems to be the standard for internet conversations like this. Don't rightly care much, just curious to see how the peoples respond. I guess it *would be nice to see some measure of maturity in the responses, although I realize that that will not always be the case. Fire away.
