help with compiling

Post by eolewis » Thu Nov 24, 2005 1:59 pm

I have downloaded the latest MQ2 zip..... but I have no idea what I need to compile, cut/paste to IS, or anything like that... I haven't seen any instructions on how to go about it... any help would be greatly appritiated..

all I want is the ISXEQ and whatever else I'd need to be able to use the MQ2 scripts since, to my understanding, can now be used with IS without conversion with the new language abilities of IS

It is about the same as compiling for MQ2 if you use VS 2003 like I do. You simply download, extract, run ISXEQ.sln, set ISXEQ as the startup project, then build ISXEQ. After ISXEQ is built, you then build the whole solution and copy the DLL's you want to use into your innerspace/extensions folder.

Keep in mind this assumes you have installed the ISXDK package and pointed VS to it properly. There is a wiki link somewhere that can walk you through it, but I don't have it off hand.

Check the ISMOD forums shortly and I'll see about posting my compilied version.

goto www.ismods.com/forums, login and go into the Extension:Release thread, I posted them to download and put into your extensions DIR.

okies... have to manually load ISXEQ in IS... next question becomes, did I misread something somewhere?... Can a MQ2 macro now be used with IS as is, or is there something else I am missing?

Actually /exchange works, and MQ2Twist is almost done being coverted. If you are interested in using ISXEQ I would start getting your feet wet now, because within a week or so I should have a whole bunch more converted.
