Atleast that's what I've been told... So I guess this is where the rubber meets the road for getting MacroQuest working with the NewUI...
Just thought I'd bring it up.

Actually from everything that I've read most people are using the new UI for playing and the old for macroing. I don't use macros so much during gameplay - that's what Xylobot is for =). Speaking of, as I loaded up EQ the other day, along with Xylobot, EQW, and MQ - I realized that MQ is not so much as a 3rd party program as it is 5th or 6th.
I would like to see a switch on the MQ menu that allows for swapping between the UI's - editing that config is a pain.

Its been proven unsafe to use the newui with macros, you can lose ALL you items (including the ones in bank). Its not really a choice as much as a requirement.

I guess maybe Nerfy thought I was using the NewUI.... Well I know full well that the NewUI is for playing and the OldUI is for MQ.
What I was saying is the /raid commands require the NewUI, and if you use MQ for bot'ing a Cleric like I do, I get the most use out of MQ on Raids. With the popularity of bot scripts I would imagine that other people are doing the same sort of thing with MQ.
I don't use MQ for tradeskills or making money of any kind, I only use it to bot my second account. In the past I couldn't care less if MQ worked with the NewUI (with all the stories people losing gear I can't imagine anyone would use it). But I have a feeling the the /raid commands are going to be the end all be all for raids very soon, and that forces us to use the NewUI...

not only does it take the new UI to use the raid commands it also requires that you buy PoP. They have to hook us some way I guess. LOL
I have not and will not get PoP for a while if ever.

Are you going to be taking a bot on a raid? That seems.... risky. Unless you really trust all those other raiders =)

I take a bot on raids 100% of the time. I wrote the script, I know How it works, and I know Who it works for... I'd say it's infinitly more safe than say running a Tradeskill/Money macro, or running any macro unattended, or running a macro that I did not write myself.
