Sounds like he was using MQ or something like it as well. There's no way someone can play 24/7 without using a macro program. You should, if nothing else, have them look into his playing.
I do feel sorry for you, since this wasn't an incident where you actually fucked up, but instead were outed by a total asshat who is probably using the same tools you are, and if not something near enough.

Frankly, I'm surprized they would even consider banning anyone not using MQ2 for outright exploits or things of that nature. Especially given how severely EQ2 and WoW have impacted the server populations...every account, even cheaters, are revenue at this point. Furthermore, I'd bet that the majority of MQ2 users tend to be in the high end game, and that's where most of the long time and loyal players are.
People who use MQ2 for auto combat, buffing, tradeskills, running bots...who cares about that.

This kind of user actually PLAYs the game for fun still. Most importantly they have friends, friends who perhaps do or don't use MQ2 themselves. Banning this person is another chop to the critical mass that keeps folks in EQ1.
I'd still probably be playing if my guild & alliance not only just quit but actually moved to both EQ2 and WoW. All of a sudden, I'm still a member of a guild... just that they don't play EQ1 anymore. I got sucked into a PvP server in WoW and it suxxors! It's like gaming with a screaming herd of hormone driven 13 year olds!

yeah i got banned myself about 3 weeks ago for using MQ2 and i have been playing sense beta...been a guildleader for a year of a great guild on my server....and i had about 420 days playing time on my account....and i STILL got banned for using MQ....so no one is safe...NO ONE
