Where to find Spawn /loc?

Post by Fatty » Thu Jan 02, 2003 2:07 pm

This doesnt directly concern MQ, but thought it a nice place to find my answer.

I can find spawn data in eqgame memory, but not for the life of me can I find where a mobs location is stored. Have tried memory searchers to find it, no luck. Have checked the memory offsets thats for MQ, but that doesnt seem to work either. For instance Spawnheader=7F9498 only shows 3 hex values that changes seemingly random. Even if you stand still or move. None of the other did give anymore info either.

What im mostly interrested in, is any tokens I can use to determine a spawns current location. This is obviousely not stored in a static position, as its many spawns im looking for.

Please help a poor soul save some days of searching :)

Thank you.

I actually have, to some degree. Im not programming in C++, so didnt seem that straight forward to me how it was done. I could see the structs on the data, but cant see how they find it inside the eqgame process. Im sure its hidden in there somewhere though.

Ok, I have found places with my current location. Problem is, this changes from each time I restart Everquest. If it changes for me, how can MQ find a static location for this? Im using Winhack 2.00 for the offsets. Does MQ get their offset in some other way?
