UI

Post by No_Idea_At_All » Sat Aug 14, 2004 12:24 am

Been messing around with the UI for a bit and I think I'm almost there.

Anyway here is what I got so far.

Player Window

- Has current/max HP/Mana/End
- Has XP (level), AAXP (Unspent Points) GLP (Unspent Points) RLP (Unspent Points)
- Tribute Timer
- HP and Mana regen rate
- Also has Current Tribute but is disabled becuase it sucked too many FPS.
- Player name goes blue when invis

Group Window

- Has Group member class and level.
- Goes Yellow if that member is group leader.
- Goes Blue when group member is invis.

Target Window

- Has level and class of target.
- Has Distance, Direction and indicator.
- Also has Target of Target (which has the same information located above it) EDIT: Found a group with HoTT, pic below.

DAMNIT too!

I just reformmated my drive, realizing I didn't back up the target window and the player window. I really liked this UI. :(

Does anyone have a copy of this UI. Or has anyone seen another example of showing when players/group members invis state is displayed like this, they could point me at. My search efforts came up with nothing.

- Player name goes blue when invis

- Goes Blue when group member is invis.

Would like to see how he did this in the UI.

Gimp, I actually use your macro all the time. Have been using it to learn about modding UI's and how alot of what MQ2 can do for players. I stole relentlessly from your UI to mod the one I am working on, and it currently uses your method of showing invis.

What I am trying to do is get it to change the color of the players name when they are invised. Lets say normally the players name is white, but I want it to be blue when they are invisible.

I am at square one as far as writing code, but if I see other peoples work, I can try and figure it our for myself. That is how I have been learning this, by looking at examples.

I have been using Nighthawk's post to dig deeper into how to make this work for the last couple of hours, and it's starting to make sense.

Thanks Nighthawk for the ideas

Thanks gimp for the great macro and UI

sorry xml is not my greatest friend, especially not the half assed crap eq uses. :( thx for the kind words tho :)

edit:

to show text of name in different colors, you can do like this:
first make a mq2 tooltip with the "normal" text color for uninvis:
${If[${Group[1].Member.Visible}, ${Group[1].Member.Name},]}

then make one with the invis color:
${If[!${Group[1].Member.Visible},${Group[1].Member.Name},]}
