Yep, you know there is a way to make your macro check for GM's in the zone? And if there is, to /unload and /q? its that simple really. I never AFK exp kite in a non-instanced zone... doing it in a public zone is just asking for it imo. Like I said, its best to use an instanced zone...DumbStruck... if you want something good for a bard PM me if you aren't banned. (lvl 65+) Vxed rox ty.

You are aware that by the time your macro detects a GM in the zone, it's already too late right? Hold on while I dig up a pic of someone beating a dead horse real quick.

Aye, when a GM is after you it s already too late.
what you must avoid in such macro is evrything that bring attention on you.

So 24/24 macro, macro in popular zone, ignore tells, /face fast, /target mobs you cant see, ignore pc in camp, not answering camp check etc. Evrything that can piss off others is what you must avoid. Instanced zone is nice but still, abuse it (24/24) will have same result.

If your macro is "play nice" with others, even in public zone you wont have any problems.

But again, AFK macro is bad and MQ does not support such bad use of it.

my strat... i dont run macros in public zones... only in instanced zones.

1: Don't run AFK macro's in public zones.
2: DONT RUN AFK MACRO'S IN PUBLIC ZONES!
3: Refer to 1 & 2.

if you are afk running some type of farming, or auto-killing macro in a public zone, might as well have it say "/ooc Hey! look at me! I'm AFK AND killing things!!! Please Ban me for using MacroQuest!!!"

This is funny. Wasn't there a post in the VIP section about some bard AFK kiting in Hoh and wiping a raid or something?

All I have to say is you got what you deserved. Stay at the comp and you won't have a problem.

You can bet that someone petitioned you. If you are gonna use MQ2, you better damn well be sure that you are not doing anything to negatively impact the game for anyone else. AFK macros that are obvious are stupid.

The server merges has created some over population. I think SoE did this by design and are more willing to ban morons.

Except that chant kiting is a legitimate way to kill things, that can be abused by afk macroing asshats (who then ruin it for the legitimate players); as opposed to blatant active hacking which has no excuse, and for which fixes won't be noticed by legitimate players (usually).
