N00b question

Post by david6789 » Sun Dec 08, 2002 7:32 pm

Can macros be used to speed up the refresh time on spells or more importantly Harm touch?

What is the most common use of Macros in EQ? I have used it to see who all is in zone and locate them. Other then running an actual macro what perks will i have when MQ is active and not using in a specific macro?

MQ is used mostly to automate function that already exist in the game. Speeding up refresh rates is more of a HACK than an automation of existing abilities.

From what i've seen people use mq for anything from farming to creating bots to fight for them to automating tradeskills. MQ just makes all those repetitive tasks a bit easier. ...perhaps i should let one of the mods field this question...

Distance?

I believe that is distance from you(you will be 0.00 away from you, if you notice)

Sincere questions...

Post by Malachi » Sun Dec 08, 2002 10:47 pm

This here fella asked a sincere question and you all gave him sincere answers w/o flaming him. All deserve kudos. Yes, /who returns levels, class, and distance and direction available from you. I would make one recommendation before you ask any more questions about the basic operation of MQ...and I'll say it nicely before someone else isn't so nice.

There's a readme when you download the program. Even if you don't get MQ working, the readme is there, try it out. It sure makes life easier than sitting and waiting for someone to answer your question, and people don't get irritated by the fact that you could've done the work yourself.

Good luck and happy macroing.

Salutations,
MacroQuest is used to automate existing tasks, and can be used to obtain knowledge you cannot get from being in your current zone (the platinum in your bank account). Basically what everyone else said, but i put 'Salutations' at the begining of my post :p
