The Realm by Sierra was the first graphical MMORPG I played. Mmm... Good times. Every level was exactly 10k exp.

Heh I think just about everyone hacked the shit out of The Realm. But then Codemasters took over, and everything changed... =(

Haha I remember that game. If you picked the right race/class and used your ability points right, an evil level 18ish elf wizard could summon level 60 demons into battle!

The Realm was not related to EverQuest in any way, shape or form outside of it being in the MMORPG category.

When I was 13, I was using IcePik to copy Commodore 64 games and creating cool ANSI art to put in the loader.

Man, I just dated myself :(

Engage 4 yorkshiremen mode:

When I were a lad all we had for a keyboard were a mallet and the nearest peasant. Storage ... don't make me laugh ... it were a rusty nail and a magnet. Screens ! None of your fancy TFTs son, it were a cardbox box wi' a pin hole. And as for play-time ... that only happened after father had beaten us senseless for breathing. Broadband ... it were 2 tin cans and a piece of broken string .....

My First comp was an Amstrad 1640, had all the mod cons, 3 1/4" Floppy and 5 1/2" Floppy! two, yes TWO 10 Meg HD's, 2meg Ram! Numeric Proccesor! 2meg GFX and a Adlib SC!

Well tbh I'm still using it. All I have done is changed the MoBo, CPU, GFX, Memory, Sound card, Tower, Monitor, HD's, Floppys, Keyboard and mouse a few times for repairs

Ah yes.. I remember the Realm, back in the day when all you had was 2 roads and not even a hut to call your own...

Thems were the good ol' days...
