Some help please.

Hello and thanks for looking at this.

I have down loaded the latest version and copy pasted the latest offsets.
I also Down loaded eqw.
I also down loaded perl.
My system is a 750mhz 512 Ram 40gig HD with Win 98 SE and a cable connection.

When I log on via eqw I get a message that reads:
Error 1002: Incorrect Version!!
Run the patch program to ensure you have the current version.

I did this and even the through check and nothing, still get message.

I found in IRC-20021116 > Release > eqgame Line #2 read: MacroQuestVersion=IRC-20021104

I changed it to:
MacroQuestVersion=IRC-20021116

Any ideas on what to do next or what the problem is?
Any help would be Great.
Thanks
Dave

You got the latest offsets off this board? maybe you should check your actual EQGame.exe last modified date, and see if it's the same as the time in MQ's EQGame.ini file. If it's an hour off, my guess is that you're in an area that does not use Daylight Savings Time, and all you need to do is set the date/time in the .ini file to match the date/time on the .exe, and you should be good to go.

If it's more than an hour off, that's probably not the problem, and you'll need to copy the offsets from these boards again and paste them into the file.

Edit: Offsets located here. http://macroquest2.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1326

I copied the offset and changed the date to 1116 instead of the original 1104 (told by a friend to do this). I live in Colorado , USA so i do use daylight savingstime.
I can get to EQ and play if i dont go through EQW but MG doesnt show up.
I also turned the new UI off (as a friend told me to).

Not sure what to do please help if you can.

Thanks
Dave

1) get properties on your eqgame.exe.

2) if the date/time it shows doesn't match the eqclient.ini in macroquest, and you did use the offsets from this board, try repatching everquest.

3) If that doesn't work, change the date/time in the eqclient.ini to match the date/time on your eqgame.exe.

I did try the repatch idea and nothing. Currently I am at work and will look into the date/time thing ASAP.
Thank you all for your help.
