Incorrect client version

I just downloaded the lastest MQ2 ver and compiled it as normal . I then moved all from the release folder and yet i still get the client crash any suggestions on what i have missed. Last time i used it was around 9 25 or so this year and it was fine so it must be from the last patch on the 13th. Ty for any help you guys rock.

I don't understand why people post this kind of crap. You OBVIOUSLY did something wrong. It's not up to us to figure it out, it's up to you. Funny how it works for all of us, but you get incorrect client version. Don't bother telling us that you downloaded the newest zip and your patches are up to date, cause it obviously isn't like that.

I don't think MQ is broken, I think it has something to do with your cupholder not working.

I have deleted and reinstalled MQ2 several times with the version 20041014b, compiled with C++ zero errors. But i still get incorrect client box apon start up of EQ. I do play on a euro server if that makes any diffrence. I figure its something simple wrong but im haveing a hard time finding anything in search that might help. Untill last patch MQ worked fine so it has something to do with last patch. If there is a file that i could post to help identify the problem pls let me know. In my eq folder I have a file that is made when the incorrect client version box pops up its called Eq missing file 001 etc but its not openable to see what it might be. I have patched EQ and done complete file check with nothing found. If there is a file i could post to help find this problem pls let me know.

The euro servers are often running against a different/older eqgame.exe, and as such aren't really "supported" by MQ2. If this is the case at the moment, you'll need to find an older version of MQ2, and either run it as-is, or "revert" the structs and offsets in the latest zip. (Doing the last is probably a bit beyond anybody that doesn't know the MQ2 source somewhat well, especially with the recent memcheck changes)

I have downloaded an older version of mq2 from june and tried to instal it and still get the incorrect client box . I have used the search to atempt to find out how to use the older file to run macro but i cant seem to find any directions. Any help finding these instructions if they are out there would be great. I understand that many ?'s have been asked and answered but for some reason with all the flames its hard to find any real info on this subject.

My guess is that if you're running source from june it still doesn't match the client. You'll need to find out exactly which eqgame.exe you're running and find MQ sources for that specific version.
