EQ pauses

Post by SCMick99 » Wed Sep 08, 2004 2:26 am

I'm having a problem with EQ having a slight pause(less then a second) everytime I open a new window - like inventory. It also happens when adding people to my friends list. Its completely reproducable, but not sure when it started.

It didnt bother me til I couldnt use the bard twist plugin as it pauses every time it changes songs.

This happens under all of my ui's including default. Computer specs are 2.8ghz and 1 gig ram and I run EQ w/ all non system processes off, does not seem to be lag. I ran a search and tried /revert fg 1 as one post suggested but it didn't fix my problem. It happens w/ or w/out MQ2 but it affects a lot of things in mq2 including most macros.

Thanks I have a lot of respect for the work you guys do here.

Hrm, if it happens w/o MQ... try turning logging off if it is on? Large log files can cause some lag. Uhm... I'd turn journaling off, however it wouldn't be causing your problem when opening bags etc, just from mob agro msgs. I only have this problem when I run 2 instances of EQ on my comp... I just live w/ it.

Did you turn off your virus scanner?

Yeah, the problem is your Virus Scanner... turn it off and it will most likely go away(I had the same problem)
