Targeting with Corpse in Zone

Post by coalarm » Thu Aug 26, 2004 6:02 am

I am working on a script to target a PC at zone in and COH him to the raid no matter where we happen to be and I was wondering if there was any way to target the PC if he has a corpse closer than his live PC in the zone. A Simple /target <pc name> always brings up his corpse rather than the living PC. Thanks.

You realize people might wonder how you targeted them from all the way across a zone right ?

Most people are barely even functionally aware of their own buffs, mobs in camp, and raid talk. I doubt they'd notice and, if they did, I really doubt they're care.

"Hey! That's not fair! You're speeding up our raid!"

LMAO. That is soo true its scary.

I think a lot of the things we worry about most players are too dumb to even notice. Of course thats no excuse to get sloppy cause it only takes 1 player who's switched on the /report you.

"How'd you target me?"

"Holgresh Beads"

"oh.... cool"

I use to check Trak and Kael all the time with those damn things back in the day =/ Now they just fall thru the wall in GoD zones instead of warping to a random spot in zone =( Oh well not like it matters anymore.

Half the leadership of the raids I attend use MQ...I know because I distribute it to them.

The holgresh beads is an ideal excuse, BTW....everyone falls for it.
