I haven't had much time to debug this myself yet but here's the story.
Picking up a ground item while the map window is open removes the wrong groundspawn from the displayed map. You have to redo the filtering to get the correct ones to show or be removed.

I hadn't noticed this, but it seems (if memory serves) that targetting a groundspawn often causes a "ghost" label to be drawn on the map. Perhaps the two issues are related.

Supposedly Lax fixed the ghost label issue (I think I bugged it before).
Preliminary debug shows that the right item is indeed being removed from the lists of the items... time to find out why the wrong label is being removed.

Another minor problem with mq2map. You can't change any setting on the map window itself (right-click menu) without unloading mq2map first then reloading it when your done.

If that's a bug, I hate to see his post come patch day.

Its intended for that menu to be inaccessible while MQ2map is loaded ? Only reason I bother with it is because I usually play with the alpha normal level set to 0 and keep the map open but some areas are too bright/dark/whatever and I need to change it so I can see the map.

Have you tried /mapfilter help, no I doubt it. Why, because I know for a fact that the answer to your needs is in that information.

/mapfilter menu turns it on and off.
since somebody came up with the great thought of only loading mq2map when you have the map open I do that all the time now.
