Must be talking about Xylobot. MQ not used for anything like that.

I apologize if this message offends anyone... I am not revealing anything I think that people already know. ...

Trust me, it is macroquest that is the only program to use for making platinum fast. Xylobot takes control of your window and is too slow to be feasable. MQ is a powerful tool that can be used to make platinum quickly and can be done fairly easily if you understand the mechanics of the game and the mechanics of programming.

This article though fails to hit the right target. They blame the players for finding "loopholes" in the EQ world for making money. It isn't loopholes in the way players are making money. It is just finding ways in the Existing EQ world that the programmers specifically put there, to make small profits and then using a macro to handle the repetitiveness of that small profit making ability and do it hundreds of thousands of times.

I have been playing UltimaOnline for 5 years and for the last couple years, spent time figuring out exactly which ways would consistently give you a small profit, but could be repeated consistently with a macro and that allowed me to make large sums of money.

When starting EQ the very first thing I did was go through and find ways to make small profits consistently and repeatably and they were very easy to find.

Verant put the profit making abilities into the EQ game world and they knew what they were doing. Players could sit there and manually make small profits over and over again, but their hands would turn to jello. So we use macros to handle the repetitiveness of the task.

If Verant didn't want people to make money through macros, they could just as easily nerf the small profits that are built into different aspects of the game, but they don't. They blame the macros for all of their problems. But people will continue to use macros for profit if that profitability exists.

OMG that is too funny. This has been happening since the begining of the game. In fact more in the begining then it is now. It is true that people who would join game now or later has very little chance of getting easy rich. But that's not what the game is all about in the first place. Well at least it wasn't for me till the nirfed my main most favorate character (MONK AC nirf) I stood by and did nothing when they nirfed our FD amonts some other things, but this time it's too far. So I retired from this non-sence evil corp game.
