Something strange in the latest irc version

I tried the latest irc version last night and I immediatly noticed something very odd. My characters name was different! I did a /who and didnt see my name on the zone list, my characters name on the UI was wrong and when I went into 3rd person view the name above my head was wrong also. I thought that maybe if I zoned it would help but as I was walking towards a zone line EQ crashed hard to desktop and I had to reboot the computer. I got back online without running MQ and my name was back to normal. Isnt that wierd?

like, just a letter or two wrong, or random garbage, or what?

The name it gave me was totally different but is the same wrong name each time I play using MQ. I feel like im walking around with spotlights on telling all the GM's "hey look at me, im hacked".

I have had that occur once as well. The problem resolved itself after a subsequent EQ patch.

In my case the name was ALMOST IDENTICAL to another char that a friend used recently on my PC.

I noticed that the /who did not show all the corpses. The person did have a corpse and he ended being necro summoned, but he never showed up on my /who
