Problem entering a Message into the MacroQuest Forums.

Post by PlayPal » Sat Oct 05, 2002 3:47 pm

Hello, Rizwank.

You asked someone earlier why they were claiming to be having problems using the MacroQuest Boards. He mentioned getting all these 'line' errors when trying to post a message. He was using IE 6.0, and this problem has been happening ever since the Site Admin changed the format code of these Message Boards a few weeks back.

The reason is that there is something wrong with the formatting here and everytime one tries to ENTER a new message or Reply to one, it triggers the built-in IE Script Debugger Tool window, and won't let the user go beyond that point for the most part.

The EASY solution until if and when this problem is fixed, is for the user of IE 6.0 to go to TOOLS... INTERNET OPTIONS.. ADVANCED. Then scroll down to BROWSING.. and CLICK ON 'Disable Script Debugging.' This will stop IE 6.0 from constantly popping up that DEBUG window when attempting to add a new or replied-to Message into these Forums.

Hope this helps!

Play.

Unfortunately that does not work for me. I guess its cause I have VS installed cause if i do debug I get the VS debugger. Only solution for me is to log off and log back on again.

Oh, and also make sure to UNCLICK the 'Notification about every Script Error' right underneath the first fix selection. But that should be a no-brainer. ;)
