Okay, Say I'm new to macroquest and I have realized that this is a GREAT tool to help camp mobs/npcs to make plat/cash. But I am extremely new to macroquest and only know 2 commands so far /target npc and /mapshow npc/pc. We these two commands alone I have already been able to camp a few things. SO..what I'm looking for is some feedback on my system and ANY advice one could offer to help me in my quest to better my shitty gear.
So far I've been running around random zones and looking up notable npcs from allakahzam's. I dont know any really good soloable zones with worthwile npcs yes other than veksar, droga and such. If anyone has a list of zones they hit using these methods please let me know!!
First when I enter the zone I am /mapshow npc'ing right away.
To find if the npc is present I am doing /target npcname...if it targets he's there, obviously.
Then If he's there I am looking on the map, which is usually bundled with 100's of NPC's names and hard to read. I have to zoom in and search around on the map to find the NPC, this is highly unefficient and takes very long...IS there a better method to find/get to npcs that are worthwile?!
After I find it, I run to the NPC kill it and move to the next zone.
Please any advice on multi-zone camping with MQ2 would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Beginner MQer

Read the fucking manual (tm).
I'm not being rude but seriously, read the manual. Learn what the commands can do yourself.
Note on multi-zone camping. You can't check mobs in other zones unless you have a character there at the time you're checking. The client just doesn't have that information.
(I expect there will be other more... colorful responses.

Speed hacks and anything like that is not allowed to be discussed on the forums. You will get Band from EQ if you do this kind of activity!

NO and asking for it will get you banned from these forums.

If it's not in the manual, it's not possible. Anything that has been added since the manual was last updated is in the forums. We expect all users to read every posting on the forum before posting questions.
If you have a question about something you read in the manual, that's fine..although it goes in the help forum.
My advise is not to post any questions until you've tried MQ for at least a month. Then you'll be better educated/equipped to ask questions as far as what might be possible with the tools you know are already there.
READ EVERY POSTING ON THIS MESSAGEBOARD THAT HAVE BEEN POSTED BACK AT LEAST 6 MONTHS!
