eq conflicts

Post by Zero0003 » Sun May 02, 2004 1:45 pm

Sorta new to this but on 1 pc I got it working fine and macros work great. On the other pc I can load mc2 latest one and as soon as i load any macros eq shuts down. Any suggestions how to fix?

I was thinking maybe it could be the macro causing it so i tried same macro on other pc and it works great.

did you compile it for each computer? do 2 seperate copies of MQ2, rather than copying them from one PC to the next.

Let me clarify that:

PC #1
Do the following:
http://macroquest2.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4761

PC #2
Do the following:
http://macroquest2.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4761

Should work fine

if it is what he said it would have nothing to do with MQ2Auth. If macros are CRASHING you, a) make sure you have the very latest version (last updated on the 29th, revision "c" meaning 4 zips were posted on the 29th), and if you do then b) submit a bug report. At the top of the bug reports forum is instructions on how to submit a CRASH bug report, which this would be.

Well not much for bug report on this. I load mq2 then load eq. As soon as i get into world i type /mac <macname>.mac hit enter and then suddenly it closes eq only not mq2.

...

Things crash for a reason. When eq crashes it's for a reason. Run the debugger and get the info on why it crashed. If you dont know how to run the debugger, Lax posted really detailed intructions about it. If you think its too hard well... I'll let Lax answer that one he has more colorfull replies than me.

I did not ask you to reply on here with "not much to report on this", I asked you to check your fucking version, and then go to the fucking bug report forum and read how to report a fucking crash bug. It doesnt say "tell us what you did" it says attach a fucking debugger. Now, if you'd like to respond to me again with something like "I just loaded a macro" your problem is NEVER going to be solved. EVER. We cant POSSIBLY solve it from that information. If you would like it to be fixed, do what I fucking said, and do your best to get the information requested. Step by step instructions are given for you to follow. If you have trouble following them, ASK for help following them. Asking for help is a BILLION times better than giving only one small part of the information requested. In other words, if you're trying to report the crash bug using the instructions, and can't figure part of it out, then ask how to do it instead of saying "Well i could only figure out part 1 so here it is". Locking this thread, please dont post a message saying "blah blah you locked the thread and i want to respond by saying im not an idiot blah blah blah" we get that all the time and its lame, so just go to the bug reports forum and forget about this thread. If you do that you will receive help as soon as possible. If you do not, you wont. That simple ;)
