~Targeting group members~

Post by dravidiankayne » Tue Mar 30, 2004 4:50 pm

Now I may have overlooked this because it was like 4am, but I looked a few times and couldn't find, in the manual, a way to target group members *without* using their actual name. I tried things on my own like /group 1, /target group 1, etc......

I eventually just hard-coded the charname using /target CHARNAME to select that char.

Does anyone have any information on how to do this?

http://macroquest2.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5605

Code: Select all

/keypress party1
/keypress party2
etc.

edit: keep in mind that this is the same as pressing F2 for example, and will target the groupmembers pet if you had it previously targeted. So you should either add a check that your target is indeed a PC or do something like this

Code: Select all

/target clear
/keypress party1

if You do

Code: Select all

/keypress party1
/keypress party1
will it target party1's pet?

see edit above. It does (or at least should). A better way to target the party members pet would be with ${target.pet.id} for example.

If dont want to target pets accidentally, I think you can do

Code: Select all

/target id $group(2)
$group takes a number from 0-5. 0 being yourself.

F2-F6 will target your group members, press it twice to get their pet.
