How to make a macro, a macro?

Post by Sensay » Fri Mar 12, 2004 1:54 am

Ok... ive looked through the readme but i am still a bit confused.

To make a macro...

Do i open like a .txt file, put in the code and save it as something? how do i make it a MAC file, do i need a special program >< ?

Like this, this will trigger FD and Mend, for me using hotkeys

Code: Select all

Sub Main
  :startloop
   /press 0
   /delay 1s
   /press 8
   /delay 10s
   /goto :startloop
But what do i do with that code??

Sorry i know its probaly been posted but ive looked around for like 2hours now and i gotta go to bed, its like 2:30am =((

Thanks help, try not to flame too hard if its something obvious witch it probaly is >_<

Under your compiled macroquest folder there is a /macros/ directory. If you open it you will find many files named blahblah.mac in it. These are just text files that are renamed to have the .mac extension.

Here is a helpful link for you:

EDIT: Got it, Thanks a ton Elixx for PM,

Guess what 3x

it wasnt in the RTFM >_>

i was just overlooking somethign really small and stupid that was right infront fo my face like i figured.

Didnt have file extensions on for some reason from when i changed to win XP a week ago...

Was renaming it -------- fdmend.mac.txt
instead fo renaming it -- fdmend.mac

Just didnt notice the .txt there, was wondering wtf it wasnt changinf formats >_>

Ya know what, it's not in TFM :) He's right.

However, isn't there a Macros for Dummies post somewhere around here? Like at the start of this forum?
