Account Banned.

Post by a_troll_01 » Fri Jan 30, 2004 11:46 am

Got 1 (of my 3) accounts banned during this morning's patch (12/30). I find it funny that they only banned one of them (considering IP's would be shared) and that I'm not an idiot (I don't do anything that would giveaway my MQ status to players, so would have to be something GM/serverside). Just curious if any one else got a burn? Seeing if this is just something that was 'oops, my bad' or something more ... global. Server was Sol Ro & Xev, by the way.

Just a couple of Q's.

Are you also a "docrack" user or use any non-standard MQ function?

Was your char logged in when the servers went down?

Have you run any macros lately that were repetative, such as skillups, the famous "brew" macro, or plat making combines?

I'm just trying to find out where the hot-point is on this one, it may help others track down if the the evil enemy is doing anything to scan for us.

I have had a lot of accounts banned and friends that have also using different hacks mostly profitable tradeskills(and before I get countless pm's...none of them work anymore) combined with warping techniques (no I wasnt the one making our compiles of mq do this so please dont pm me on this either).

They don't seem to do any ip matching to accounts, and rarely will check different servers on the same account. They will, however see what other accounts have made recent trades, and commonly ban those accounts also if they think there is a connection.
