No from the looks of it the bot will buff anyone who sends the right buff request and even tell them the 8 buffs available if they ask it properly. IT is set to be "controlled" by only one person. That is the only person that can change what spells it will cast and tell it to follow/camp.

Yeah will be controlled by only one person but anyone can send it a tell for buffs. Unfortunatly I am still working out how to mem spells so you can't change the spell list on the fly. I didn't get to test it last night so has anyone else used it yet ?

Forgot to mention, this will monitor all channels for the buff words (eg group, guild, raid, ooc, shout, say, tells etc) and will then try and buff them if found. If you want to change that put the entire Event_Chat function into an /if statement to filter out channels you don't need.

Just wanted to suggest another idea:
For enchanters and other buff classes that sit in PoK to buff people after receiving a minimum plat donation... is there any way to alter this so that the game can check for that minimum trade donation?

Or perhaps can this macro check for buff requests only in /tells.. and not in /say?

Thanks, and keep up the great work!

EDIT: Also... I changed all of the |** to just | in front of every line that wasnt code. That seemed to solve a few of the problems I was having, except now when I put in the parameters it always calls help.

Entering: /macro buffbot BuffBot Name Focus 1 Stamina 2 . This doesnt work.. any ideas?

I dont know how to write sucha thing... but meming a specific spell set using the /memspell command can work fine ingame

I dunno how to write the mana calculations etc, but if a guild learns just the comand and htere re bots rdy and willing, this could work very easily. a simpe tell with the macro doing an /rt then if they arent on target, an auto response, 'oor, my loc is xxxx yyyy' ... then if they get spammed with tells, there can be a 'casting buff on %T now, please wait.' etc.... and a mana calculator,... wish i knew how to code

Heyas,

I wrote a buffbot script which turned out to support several of the requests seen here; namely, extensible aliasing support, guild based authentication, and other things.

I posted it up in the Depot forum here:

http://macroquest2.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5113

Anyone interested in giving it a shot please do and let me know what ya think either on the depot posting or in a pm. It would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

G
