Does anyone know MaxScript? I think it would be possible to dump the z locs into text file in a format we could use to out put an image elevation map.

i.e. MaxScript does this: Gets the X and Y and then gets the Z for each individual X and Y.

X Y Z
1 2 3
2 3 4

(So at loc 2, 3 (XY) the elevation is 4) Then we could write a small app to parse the text file and go like this (X = imageX, Y = imageY then it takes the Z and compares it to an array which corresponds to various shades of a color (I think blue and black would be nice (black being 0)) and sets that pixel to the appropriate shade).

Then, when all is said and done we have a height map. This would eliminate the need to plot a bunch of stuff and we could just overlay the SEQ maps on top of our height maps. It would be kind of tedious work to parse each zone in 3DSMax though, but it would be worth it in the long run.

MajorMud was the shit, first mmorpg (if it can be called that) i ever played at 15 years old. I still have not played a game where pvp and guildwars were as fun as they were in that game. I almost wish i could travel back in time and relive those years :)

Kinda hard to determine how well a program would run without it actually existing as of yet....

With FPS limiter and my dynamic clip plane adjustment, I've been able to run 3 concurrent EQ sessions on my 2.8G laptop w/ 384M RAM available (I need more RAM since the vid card shares it) with minimal lag increase.

With the dynamic clip plane adjustment, a background EQ session goes from 30% cpu usage (@ 5fps) to about 6% (@ 10fps). Once I write in the toggle to enable/disable the clip adjustment, I'll post the changes to MQ2FPS.

I could probably run more but I am rapidly running out of accounts to test with.
