Tradeskill Interface Upgrade
Tired of all the clicking and dragging needed just to make a type 1 wood arrow? We know that the current tradeskill interface is cumbersome, so the UI guys have come up with some new ideas.
Opening a tradeskill container will now open a new user interface. In the window you will find an area that has all recipes that are currently available to you. This includes recipes that are at your skill level as well as some above it. Clicking on a recipe will display what items are necessary for its completion. Clicking the "combine" button will extract those required items from the player's inventory, and perform the recipe combine, placing the results on the player's cursor. The new system is nice and neat, with no dragging and dropping unless you want to try a combine that is way out of your league, which uses the old style of combination.

THAT has to be the best improvement made in a very VERY long time. Gotta hand it to them this time.

Gotta love it when the SoE programmers finally realize why MQ is around and start to add the basics into the game.

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one, but most of them stink.

While I agree kudos go to SOE for making this happen (once its more than talk), I am certain they never would have given it thought, much less enough thought to promise it on the horizon, had it not been for tools like MQ.

Hehe, easier tradeskills have been around in other games for some time. I'm glad SOE is finally getting around to adding it.

Now all they need to do is make something like this for bard twisting and this "war" will be over on my part.

Enough smack talking about what they they they do listen (ie. ingame maps, etc.), sad that it takes a few folks riding there arses and a few programs to get them to improve the game.
Glad to see it happen. Now they need to add the Visual mobs in the ingame based on class and FoV (for non trackers). This would be very easy for them to do. EQ dev's if you want more explanations then PM me and I will lay it out in full details. It's not given the normal player any additional help it will just make a visualation of what you can see either by FoV or tracking.

Really glad to see this as carpal tunnel is what brought me to MQ in the first place. Sad that it took this level of screaming and attention to MQ for SOE to finally realize this was so sorely ( pun intended ) needed.

Same here Achy, I had to stop tradeskills and playing my bard until I found MQ so as to stop the pain in my wrists.

lets sue sony online! get a class action and sue them against illegal seizure of the macroquests devs and user's intellectual property!
j/k
i think that this is a great improvment for sony and how things work, however i don't beive that this is good for MacroQuest as i could see how this would make tradeskill macs easier to write, and therefor easier to abuse.
just my humble opinion...
Always say what you want to say. Because those who mind, don't matter. And those who matter, don't mind.

/rant on
I find this really annoying....Everytime I work up a skill (SENSE-FUCKING-HEADING) they go and add a new feature to make it so much easier. I pressed my god button hotkey everytime it wasnt greyed out to work my sense heading skill up to 200 and then they go and say "Ok, SH was a stupid skill, everyone gets 200 in it" Now after I have gotten to 198 in baking, without macroing or the majority of it, they go and say we'll be adding this great new feature so all the newbs can do tradeskilling without all the hassle of clicking and dragging. ARGH! To hell with sony.
/rant off
I think this will be really cool, but of course once I say to myself "I'll wait till sony gives me anew feature" they definately wont.

I love the Power Glove, it's so bad

Hey mekaniak don't sweat it. Now you'll get bragging rights to new players when they start talking about their trade skills. You could go, "Back in my day we didn't have no fancy shmancy UI. All we had was a buncha slots and a whole lot'a clicken and draggin. Your wrists would swell with pain and you'd have a seizure every half hour from the mindlessness of it all, and that's the way it was!"
