I think the simple reason why the casino was taken down, was that since the dec 6th patch, the good people at soe, SAVE your char EVERY single operation you take when interacting with merchants and their like...

it's not rocket science to figure out that having 4-500 people in one zone "gambling"/selling back crap they "win" and getting saved/logged for every transaction made, most likely have the servers on their knees, which would explain the zone crashes... something had to give...

I guess they are gonna spend christmas deciding if they

a. upgrade the hardware...
b. rewrite the server code...
c. make a decision to f.u.c.k the casino forever...
d. open casinos in more than a single zone...

knowing SOE's mode of opertaion, it wouldnt surprise me if they go with c. since it would piss off the most people... most people who gambles wants a DE mask... and to close the casino, basically "nerfed" it... AGAIN!

And here I thought they brought casinos down, because someone had figured out, I believe Copper Coins and Bat Wings worked in the same manner as the tokens.

One other individual commented that a small group of folks figured out handing a particular item (they didnt mention) would result in a Golden Ticket every time.
