Visual Studio is a commercial product. Any place you could find that has a copy for download is offering you a pirated product. We, as a rule, don't condone software piracy.

You can, however; buy a C++ book from your local bookstore which contains a version of the MS Visual C++ compiler you would need.

Buying a C++ book that includes a copy of VC++ is the way to go.

For compiling MQ, you need Visual C++ 6, 7, or Visual Studio .NET

I would suggest EBay.

Was able to pick a brand new copy of Visual C++ >Net 2003 including the Microsoft Step by Step book for $30 + $5 S/H about a month ago.

another good way is to borrow a copy.... buddy of mine works for a computer consulting agency, they have a subscription to the msdn library
(everything microsoft ever made sent every 6 months in a nice book) he gave me a burned copy of vs6 (his company wouldnt let him give out copies of anything too new) and it worked fine, only thing was i had to get my own cd key off the internet lol, he wasnt allowed to gimme that either....

best way to get decent software is to get old software that still works =)

ask the nice kid who works at bestbuy for a copy for 10 bucks, hell prolly go for it =)
